GET TO KNOW ME

Hey there ! My Name is Lacey and that’s my boy Axel. I am the founder of Take The Lead Toronto Dog Walking Service.

     Growing up in a small town outside of Niagara, I don’t think there is a family pet we didn’t own at one point or another.  However, the most consistent household pet we always had were dogs. My love of animals grew at a very early age and stuck with me my entire life.  I am now proud to say that I’ve incorporated my love for furry friends into my day to day and I couldn’t love my job more. Figuring out each and every dogs individual quirks is what gets me out of bed in the morning. I take great pride in taking care of your four legged family member as if they are my own.

It wasn’t an easy path getting here, as with most people in their 20’s, we are searching for something both fulfilling and that makes us happy. I studied fashion, I worked in the service industry for many years, I worked in film  and travelled as much as I possibly could. During those times, I would always volunteer to both babysit and foster any dogs that were ever in need. It took some time, but I finally realized the path I had been searching for had been right in front of me this entire time. I fell in love with figuring each and every dog out as an individual , figuring out their quirks, what works for them and how to communicate with them. I absolutely love it!

    Since I finally had discovered what world I wanted to be apart of, It sure enough was time to take the plunge and make the change. I was lucky enough to get a job with an amazing company named “ We Wag”.  My boss Nichola was amazing, supportive and taught me everything I needed to know. When I was ready to go off on my own, she was again so supportive and we were able to sit down and come up with some ways we could collaborate  in the future. 

As of now, I am currently servicing the East York Area, from Broadview Ave to Main St, from Danforth Ave to O'Connor Ave.
